BBC and commercial stations have different amount of new programming, BBC has more news programming because they are a public service broadcaster. Commercial stations like TFM and Capital don't have the huge amount of money BBC has for programming but they still have to do some news because its part of the ofcom guide. Some radio stations have News Bulletin's which is like a quick new show which tells us the big latest news like the Earthquake in Nepal. Radio Stations that provide news not just Factual Programming like the TFM Radio they provide entertainment to its audience by talking and providing music to the audience so they can listen to it while they are driving or at home. TFM has a hourly news bulletin every day to give the audience mostly local news and some top stories news every hour.
BBC Radio 4 have their own news bulletin which it is different to the TFM new bulletin because BBC radio has more International and National news but TFM has more local news because TFM is a Local Radio Station and BBC Radio 4 is a national radio station.

They only cover stories that would appeal to the target audience like Fuel prices and other issues that could affect young people.
Factual Programming are more entertainment which are made to entertain the listener watching on the Radio Station. Some Radio stations do not make that much Factual programming because they don't have the funds to make it as it is expensive to produce factual programming, BBC is the biggest producer however they are more independed people who are making their own podcast through Youtube and SoundCloud. like Documentaries and movie reviews shows that are aimed to entertain their Target Audience, For example:
BBC Radio 2 made a History Documentary called Thirty Years Man and Boy which is about a song artist called Boy George. They had to put it on BBC Radio 2 because Boy George is a older song artist so it makes sense to put it on a radio station that has a target audience from everyone over the age of 35 therefore people over the age of 35 that are listening to the show will most likely know who Boy George is so it will be interesting to them listening. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05qyqc1
